General English

Most General English students at CIE take 3 hours (four 45-minute lessons) of group classes each morning from 9:15 am until 12:30 pm.

During the academic year, our General English classes comprise no more than 8 students. In the summer, these classes have a maximum of 12 students.

In your morning lessons, you will concentrate on speaking, listening, grammar, reading, and writing in English.

If you like, you can choose to continue your general English group studies in a 90-minute double lesson in the afternoons. These lessons tend to focus more on speaking and listening skills.

The small size of our classes is the secret to much of our students’ continuing success, as the teaching can more easily be tailored to suit the needs of most students.
